A precinct is the smallest geopolitical unit in the country.
Each township and city is divided into precincts. In all municipalities with multiple precincts, the local clerk has a precinct map.
Michigan has over 4,800 precincts, each containing no more than 4,999 active registered voters.
The U.S. Census takes place every decade, and shifts in population may require political redistricting: sometimes precinct lines have to be redrawn.
Every precinct has at least one precinct delegate seat, and many have more. The number of delegates allotted to each precinct is determined every two years by the chair of each county political party, based on vote totals per precinct in the last general November election for President or Secretary of State, to ensure equal apportionment.
Dear Residents of Precinct 4,
I am excited to share with you why I am running for Precinct 4 Republican Delegate and to humbly ask for your support in the upcoming Tuesday, August 4, 2026 Primary Election.
My commitment to our community runs deep, and over the years, I have actively served in various capacities to contribute to the betterment of our community. From my roles on the Board of Review to the Sidewalk Committee, and presently on the Beautification Committee, I have consistently worked to enhance the quality of life for all of us.
Currently, I have the honor of serving as the Township Deputy Clerk for the Township of Shelby, a position that allows me to engage directly with the community and address the needs and concerns of our residents. This role has given me invaluable insights into the inner workings of our local government, and I am eager to leverage this experience to represent Precinct 4 effectively.
Having worked locally at our former Kmart store in Shelby Township, I have had the privilege of assisting many of you in making both small and significant purchases for your families.
I believe that public service is a calling, and I am passionate about contributing to the growth and prosperity of Precinct 4. As your Republican Delegate, I will work tirelessly to ensure that our community's voice is heard and that our shared values are represented at higher levels of government.
I humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in the Primary Election. Your support will enable me to continue serving our community and advocating for the issues that matter most to you.
Thank you for considering me as your candidate, and I look forward to the opportunity to represent you.
Sincerely,
Candidate for Precinct 4 Republican Delegate
